CHAPTER I - CLINICS
SECTION 101 § 101. A clinic is an organized outpatient health facility that provides direct medical, surgical, dental, optometric, or podiatric advice, services, or treatment to patients who remain less than 24 hours, and that may also provide diagnostic or therapeutic services to patients in the home as an incident to care provided at the clinic facility. SECTION 102 § 102. A clinic is privately owned and operated.

CHAPTER II - HOSPITALS
SECTION 201 § 201. A hospital is a health facility having an organized medical staff that provides 24-hour inpatient care, including the following basic services: medical, nursing, surgical, anesthesia, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and dietary services.
SECTION 202 § 202. A hospital is publicly owned and operated by the local government that it serves. -
CHAPTER III - EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
SECTION 301 § 301. Emergency Medical Services consist of prehospital healthcare and transport to a hospital by an Emergency Medical Services agency. Emergency Medical Services is of two kinds, basic life support, meaning emergency first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures, and advanced life support, meaning special services designed to provide definitive prehospital emergency medical care, including, but not limited to, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, cardiac monitoring, cardiac defibrillation, advanced airway management, intravenous therapy, administration of specified drugs and other medicinal preparations, and other specified techniques and procedures at the scene of an emergency, during transport to a hospital, during interfacility transfer, and while in the emergency department of a hospital until responsibility is assumed by the emergency or other medical staff of that hospital.
SECTION 302 § 302. An Emergency Medical Technician-Basic is an individual trained in all facets of basic life support.
SECTION 303 § 303. An Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic is an individual trained to provide advanced life support.
